If our customer support has suggested this procedure, please follow the steps below to adjust the magnet spacing in your Avanti, Direto, Direto X, Direto XR, or Direto XR-T trainer. Please follow the instructions corresponding to the model you own:

DIRETO – DIRETO X – DIRETO XR – DIRETO XR-T
AVANTI
1. Remove the trainer’s covers following the procedure described in the Resistance Check on Interactive Trainers guide.
2. Unscrew the 2 screws indicated in the image below:
3. Proceed by unscrewing the 2 screws by 1/4 turn (this will slightly increase the distance between the magnets and the flywheel):
4. Re-screw the 2 screws as shown in the first image. Reset the level to 16 and check if the noise has disappeared.
5. Reassemble the covers and Calibrate the trainer using the My E-Training app, then verify the correct functionality of the trainer.
DIRETO – DIRETO X – DIRETO XR – DIRETO XR-T
1. Remove the trainer’s covers following the procedure described in the Resistance Check on Interactive Trainers guide.
2. For both the upper and lower magnets, unscrew screw n° 1 by 5 full turns (this locks the magnet adjustment) and slightly unscrew (maximum 1/4 turn) plastic screw n° 2 to increase the distance between the magnets and the flywheel.
3. Fully re-screw screw n° 1 and, if present, remove any burrs caused by friction between the plastic magnet and the flywheel.
4. Reassemble the covers and Calibrate the trainer using the My E-Training app, then verify the correct functionality of the trainer.
