Justo, Justo 2 and Avanti home trainers can be used without being connected to a training app/software and/or power source, without affecting its efficiency.
These home trainers feature two different stand-alone modes that can be managed by the user using My E-Training:
- Trainer plugged in and not connected to any app/software
- Not plugged in trainer
Below there's an explanation of these two modes and how to configure them by My E-Training, even without an active subscription.
Trainer Justo, Justo 2 and Avanti plugged in and not connected to any app/software:
When the trainer is connected to a power source and not connected to any app/software, the home trainer can still simulate a constant slope in relation to the speed.
The user can set the slope to simulate, to a value included between 0% and 24%.
Here below the instructions on how to conduct this procedure in My E-Training:
Warning: before carrying out the below procedure, please remember (if not already done) to configure the home trainer on My E-Training by the Settings -> Configuration menu.
When using a PC (Windows or Mac)
1: Load My E-Training
2: Choose "Settings"
3: Choose "Stand alone/plugged in trainer"
4: The following screen will be displayed after a few seconds:
5: On "slope", choose the value as desired, between 0% and 24%
6: Select “OK” and wait for the process to be completed.
When using a mobile device (Android or iOS)
1: Load My E-Training app
2: Choose "Settings"
3: Choose "Stand alone/plugged in trainer"
4: The following screen will be displayed after a few seconds:
5: On "slope", choose the value as desired, between 0% and 24%
6: Select “OK" and wait for the process to be completed.
General notes:
1: Without a preset value, the "Stand alone/plugged in trainer" parameter is set by default to 2%.
If it hasn't been changed, the home trainer will simulate a slope level equal to 2% when powered up and not connected to an app/software or to a cycle computer.
2: If the home trainer is in this mode, as soon as the trainer connects to an app/software or a cycle computer to check resistance, it will adjust the resistance in relation to the chosen training session and will automatically exit from the plugged in stand-alone mode.
3: If the home trainer gets disconnected from the app/software or cycle computer being used and is still connected to a power source, the trainer will automatically simulate the slope set with the previous procedure.
Not plugged in Justo, Justo 2 or Avanti trainer
When it is required to use the home trainer in its not plugged in mode, it is possible to decide the fixed resistance level that the home trainer maintains regardless of any other factor.
Such resistance level can be selected by the user among 16 levels (from 1 to 16).
Now, whenever the home trainer is powered on, it is set to a preset resistance level, and when it is powered off, that resistance level is maintained.
Here's how to do this configuration:
Warning: before carrying out the below procedure, please remember (if not already done) to configure the home trainer on My E-Training by the Settings -> Configuration menu.
When using a PC (Windows or Mac)
1: Load My E-Training
2: Choose "Settings"
3: Select "Stand alone/not plugged in trainer"
4: The following screen will be displayed after a few seconds:
5: Choose the desired resistance level (from 1 to 16)
6: Choose"OK" and wait for the end of the procedure.
When using a mobile device (Android or iOS)
1: Load My E-Training app
2: Choose "Settings"
3: Choose "Stand alone/not plugged in trainer"
4: The following screen will be displayed after a few seconds:
5: Select the desired resistance level (from 1 to 16)
6: Select "OK" and wait for the end of the procedure.
General notes:
1: Without a preset value, the level is set by default to 2.
2: In case of doubt on how much resistance is on every level, we suggest a briefly training in Level Mode to check how much resistance every level corresponds to, and then consequently understand which level to use.
3: If you're using the home trainer in the aforementioned mode and the home trainer is powered on while pedaling, the trainer will automatically switch to constant resistance simulation.
