Below please find the procedure to grease the screw thread of the step motor whenever its movement isn't fluid or produces a weird screeching noise. This works for the following hometrainers:
Direto, Direto X, Direto XR, Direto XR-T
DIRETO, DIRETO X, DIRETO XR, DIRETO XR-T,
ZUMO
Please follow the on-screen instructions to open/close the shell and access the magnet cart Resistance Check On Interactive Trainers.
Please note: do not conduct the resistance test as indicated on screen, please follow these instructions:
- Power up the home trainer.
- Use the My E-training app to set the resistance level at 16 to move the magnet cart towards the right and set resistance level at 1 to move it towards the left.
- Continue adjusting levels from 1 to 16 and from 16 to 1 (ATTENTION: do not touch the magnet cart during this phase) until the magnet cart starts moving fluidly (please continue to change the levels also if the magnet cart doesn’t move. Sometimes it is necessary to change continuously the level for some minutes to unlock the magnet cart).
- Set the level at 16.
Power off the home trainer and, ONLY WHEN IT'S POWERED OFF, accurately clean the motor screw thread using regular household paper to remove any metallic residue.
When you're done, use a small brush (for instance, a painter's) to add technical vaseline grease along the whole metallic thread.
Power up the home trainer again by connecting it to My E Training and select LEVEL mode, set the level by adjusting resistance from 1 to 16, then from 16 to 1, repeat this operation at least a dozen (10) times so the grease distributes evenly along the whole thread.
Close up the cover again and proceed with your regular training session.
By following the aforementioned instructions, the home trainer shall be restored to proper working conditions.

SUITO - SUITO-T
