If you notice that the belt on your Smart Square frame jumps between belt teeth or makes noise while pedaling, please follow the steps below to check that it has been assembled correctly:
1. Check the locking lever position
Make sure the lever located underneath the frame is properly closed. An incorrect position may misalign the frame and cause irregular belt movement.
2. Rear Pulley Assembly Check
Ensure that the rear pulley is correctly installed and that the supplied toothed washer is positioned between the lockring and the pulley. Make sure the teeth of the washer face the lockring.
3. Verify correct mounting configuration
The Smart Square frame must be used with the 5x135 mm quick release configuration.
Adapters for Avanti, Direto XR and Justo trainers
- The correct adapter set includes references C + D + E + H (these adapters are supplied with your trainer).
- Adapter C must be installed inside the Smart Square frame.
- Once the frame is positioned, tighten the quick release H firmly to ensure stable attachment.
Adapters for Direto X and Direto trainers
- Use adapters C + G + W + 6014029 (included with your trainer).
- Again, adapter C should be mounted on the inner side of the Smart Square frame.
- Secure the frame by tightening the quick release H.
Adapters for non-Elite trainers
If you're using a third-party trainer, refer to the manufacturer's user manual to ensure compatibility with a 5x135 mm axle.
Always tighten quick release H to ensure the frame is securely fastened.
4. Ensure there's approximately one millimeter of space between the anti-jump guide pulley and the belt.
Adjusting the Anti-Jump Guide Pulley
If the anti-jump guide pulley is touching the belt, you'll need to adjust it. Use a 15 mm open-end wrench to loosen it slightly. This will allow the pulley to lower. Adjust the distance so there's about 1 mm of space between the guide pulley and the belt.
If the belt continues to jump after checking all of the above, please contact us and include the following photos to help us provide accurate assistance:
