Get Upgrado to upgrade the firmware of your Elite interactive devices (smart trainers and accessories).
How do I update my device’s firmware?
To update the firmware on your trainer or smart accessory (e.g., Aria, Rizer, Square, Zona, Sterzo Smart .. ), just follow these 4 simple steps:
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device;
- Launch Upgrado. The app will automatically detect nearby connected devices.
- Click on your device name to search for new updates.
- Upgrade to the latest firmware release.
Updating the firmware is very easy: Upgrado will see your device among the available devices via its Bluetooth connection, notifying the availability of any new update.
After confirmation from the user, the app will finalize the update on the selected device right away.
Note: Irreparable damage to the Elite device may occur if the procedure is interrupted incorrectly.
How do I download the Upgrado app?
Upgrado is available worldwide for all Android and iOS users on Google Play and in the App Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.elite.android.fota
https://apps.apple.com/app/upgrado/id1482090297
Note
Connection with Upgrado is only possible if the smartphone/tablet supports the Bluetooth protocol and if the Bluetooth version is correct. To check the compatibility of your device (tablet/smartphone) with ANT or Bluetooth Smart, please refer to this article: Mobile device compatibility ( tablet / smartphone ) with ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart
The connection between Upgrado and the trainer to be updated is made via the Bluetooth protocol. Due to the characteristics of Bluetooth, this connection is exclusive. Therefore, if the trainer is already connected to another software, Upgrado will not be able to find it during the search. The successful connection is indicated on the electronic board by the activation of the blue LED. Before starting the device search in Upgrado, please ensure that the blue LED on the board is flashing. If the blue LED is solid, it means the device is already connected to another software/program/app/device, and Upgrado will not be able to connect to the roller. In this case, close the software, power off and power on the device, then try reconnecting with Upgrado.
The procedure is used to check for available firmware updates. If the device is already updated with the latest available version, a message will appear at the end of the check confirming that the device is up to date. Firmware updates may be available only in certain geographic regions.
If the procedure does not succeed:
Uninstall the Upgrado app.
Restart your smartphone.
Download the latest version of the Upgrado app, available on Google Play or the Apple Store.
Power off and power on the Elite device (roller or smart accessory, e.g., Rizer, Aria, Square, Sterzo Smart).
Open the Upgrado app again and try the update.
Ensure that, as soon as the update procedure begins, the blue LED starts flashing rapidly, indicating that the procedure has been correctly initiated.
Additionally, try using a different internet connection than before — for example, switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data (4G/5G) or vice versa. If possible, try updating from another device to see if the issue persists.
Important: Please make sure not to leave the app running in the background during the update process.
If the procedure does not complete successfully, or if you notice any abnormal behaviour of the trainer or the LEDs at the end of the process, for example if the LEDs remain blinking blue, please contact ELITE support at info@elite-it.com, specifying “Unsuccessful Upgrado Update” as the email subject and including the serial number of your trainer How to find the serial number.
The trainers in the Real family (RealAxiom, RealTour, RealPower, RealEmotion, and RealTurbomuin, including ANT and B+ variants) do not support firmware updates and therefore will not be detected by the Upgrado app.
